Prastic coating cracks

Same as previous review. Plastic coating is cracking leaving a Product that will hopefully still work, but not esthetically pleasing. Also, not sure how formittable it will be once the coating comes off.

Beware: Protective Plastic Coating breaks off

I bought one of these folding locks and opened the packaging when I got home, to find that the plastic coating was cracked in several places, showing the metal bar underneath. Brought it back to the store only to find that every one of the dozen locks on the shelf had the same problem. That plastic is brittle/not flexible, it is already breaking off, and the metal will be rubbing on your bike frame, scratching the paint. I bought another brand instead. To their credit, the store pulled them all off the shelves.
